NXT Results – 06/15/10

It’s the second week of the second NXT season and once again, we are not disappointed! Matt Striker introduced the Rookies and Pros. He explains that unfortunately, the second season Rookies are having to be punished for what the first season ding dongs have done on Raw. MVP talks some more about all this. I wasn’t really listening. I was too busy seeing what LayCool and Kaval were up to! Not that we expected anything less, but LayCool looked Flawless! I’m a big fan of pony tails. I’m also a huge fan of what Michelle does with them. She’s taken a plain ol’ pony and added her own twist to it. She’s done it for a while actually, but this week looked especially cool!

When MVP was finished, the Pros and Rookies made up. LayCool hugged Kaval, and this time he didn’t get slapped! Even after the rest were finished, LayCool were still attached to their Rookie. Matt Striker interrupted and got down to business. The first match of tonight’s show will be Kaval taking on Alex Riley! YAY!! LayCool danced excitedly around the ring and as we faded to a commercial break, it looked like they were giving Kaval a pep talk. Or maybe advice on how to look good even during a match.

Before the match can start, LayCool have to introduce us again. He’s cute… he’s cuddly… HEEEEEEEEEEERE’S KAVAL!! A nice video package of him is shown. Kaval talks about where he’s wrestled, how much heart he has, etc etc. He didn’t mention LayCool. Ummm… really?! Oh well, the match starts and we are graced with LayCool at commentary! To be completely honest, I do my best to tune out the NXT commentary. Matt Striker is a great commentator and a great host. He should do both, then it’d be tolerable. Anyway, moral of the story is, I only got half the conversation because I only heard what LayCool was saying.

Michelle said that Kaval should practice LayCoolism! Brilliant! Layla loves it! We love it! YOU LOVE IT!! They’re book of guidance will be named, “REAL TALK!” In it will be the secret of being truly Flawless. It will probably turn out more like an issue of Cosmo than anything, but that’s okay! Everyone loves the quizzes in Cosmo. The quizzes in “Real Talk” will be even better! “What do your Louis Vuitton boots say about you?” “Is your man Flawless or Funky?” Mmhm, mmhm, make it happen! It’ll be a little survival guide with LayCool’s answers to life’s questions.

Side track much? Back to the match, WOW! Kaval is incredible in the ring. His kicks were amazing! He was even impressing Michelle and Layla, the Co-Women’s Champions! Kaval’s a great addition to WWE. He’s truly one of the most talented people in the ring and we can’t wait to see more! However, while the guy is incredible, he lost. Boooooo! After missing the Warrior Way, Riley hit him with a Stunner looking move and picked up the victory. Matt Striker got comments from Alex, LayCool and some of the Pros. John Morrison said that Kaval was impressive. Time for some.. REAL TALK! Michelle and Layla agree that he did good, and it was his first match! Give him a break! They promise to make Kaval flawless!

The Pros will evaluate the Rookies in two weeks! But remember, only 50% of that evaluation will count toward who stays and who goes. The other half rests in the hands of the WWE Universe! We’re only five weeks away from the first elimination. Two weeks til voting time, hopefully we’ll see Kaval in the ring again so he can impress not only the Pros, but the viewers as well! And with some more help from LayCool (they help people, it’s what they do!), he’s sure to pull out a victory and certainly be more flawless!

LayCool came out and introduced Kaval and they treated him like their pet. They had him holding their titles. After all rookies were in the ring, Striker said this season of NXT would only last 12 weeks and the pros would only have 50 percent of the vote. The other 50 percent lied in the hands of the WWE Universe. The first elimination will be in 3 weeks. All the rookies started arguing with each other about who would win.

Alex Riley (The Miz’s rookie) told Kaval he used to stuff guys like him in the locker in high school which drew laughs from the crowd. Kaval is much smaller than the other rookies so, of course, WWE had to draw attention to it.
After two tag team matches, all the rookies are back in the ring and are asked for their thoughts on NXT season 1 rookies attacking Cena on Raw. Kaval says that it was simply unbelievable that the first season of NXT would do that but that is how you make a statement in the WWE.
Just as WWE Pro and “Co-Women’s Champion” Layla looked like she’d offer Kaval a hug, Michelle McCool and Layla smack Kaval and leave the ring as a brawl ensues.

Michelle McCool and Layla will be the first ever female mentors on NXT. They will be mentoring rookie, Kaval on Season 2 of NXT which will begin next Tuesday. Kaval is an independent star previously known as Low Ki in ROH. He’s also previously known as TNA’s Senshi.

This should be interesting twist, I’m personally looking forward to it! What are your thoughts? Will Kaval get a Flawless hoodie?
