Smackdown! Results – 08/06/10
Rrrrrrosa is backstage chatting it up with Teddy Long when LayCool enter and shoo her off with our girl Michelle telling Rosa to do less talking, more training. C’mon Rosa, smarten up!
When she exits, LayCool start to protest about having to give up one of their titles and that’s it not fair. Teddy is not up for compromses and tells them they’ll have to give up one of the titles or he’ll decide for them. Poor Michelle and Layla begin to argue over who gets to keep the title – Michelle gives up arguing, hands her title to Teddy and tells Layla “you owe me!”. Look Teddy, do you see what you’ve done?!
Teddy continues by saying only one of them gets to wear the Championship and they have to decide – cue more arguing. Michelle says she should have it because the title matches her outfit, while Layla argues that she’s the champ. Michelle continues arguing that there’s no LayCool without Cool and Layla backfires by saying that she’s Lay! Michelle says she done all the work and got Layla here, Layla agrees, and Michelle starts grabbing the belt from Layla. They both tug on it. Suddenly – SNAP! The title is broken in half, into two very neat cut pieces that seem to resemble their BFF necklaces..hm.
“OOPSIE!” They both shout and laugh. You see Teddy, there is still only one Women’s Title and it’s…FLAWLESS!! LayCool exiting while giggling and holding their one ‘bestie’ title while Teddy is left with a shocking, disbelief looking on his face. HA! Take that! Serves you right for trying to mess with LayCool and for making one of them give up their championship.
THE FACTS DON’T LIE!
McCool Tops Third “PWI Female 50” By Dan Murphy
The critics have some negative opinions about Michelle McCool.
Some people believe her success in WWE is partially due to her relationship with The Undertaker. She has gotten heat for “stealing” her Faith Breaker finisher from AJ Styles and the Team Lay-Cool concept and ring entrance from The Beautiful.
Those are just opinions, but here are a few facts.
FACT: In June 2009, McCool became the first woman in WWE history to have held both the Divas and Women’s championships, thanks to a win over Melina.
FACT: Over the past 12 months, McCool has scored pinfall victories over Melina, Gail Kim, and Mickie James—three of the most decorated women wrestlers of the past decade.
FACT: From July 1, 2009, through June 30, 2010, McCool held (or co-held) the WWE Women’s championship for 325 of 365 days.
Here’s another fact: Michelle McCool—a woman who has been reviled by fans and derided by peers—is the best woman wrestler in the game today. Like it or not.
For the past two years, McCool has established herself as the top Diva on the Smackdown roster. She may be arrogant and condescending, but she has every right to be. No other female can match her overall success over the past year. She even found a way to “co-hold” the women’s title after Layla El pulled off an upset pinfall over Beth Phoenix. Continue reading »

Highlight the box below to find out what Michelle will be doing this week on Smackdown!
Vickie Guerrero came out and announced that Michelle McCool would replace Layla in the match against Tiffany. Vickie had more heat than I’ve ever heard in my life. The match is still for the WWE Women’s Championship.
Michelle McCool (w/Layla) defeated Tiffany (w/Kelly Kelly) to retain the WWE Women’s Championship. Layla interfered in the match, which set up McCool getting the win.
Afterward, Teddy Long appeared on the titantron and said there only needs to be one women’s champion. He said they can decide for themselves or he will make the decision next week. McCool and Layla argued over the title belts.
